LaPorte Gymnastics Club

LPGC provides recreational gymnastics instruction to girls who want to learn more about the sport, train for high school gymnastics, and offer a local option for competitive gymnastics at the LaPorte High School Fieldhouse facility located in LaPorte, Indiana.

LPGC serves as the main feeder program for the LaPorte High School Gymnastics Team.  Through professional and positive coaching influences, a gymnast at LPGC gains a strong base of progressive gymnastics skills in addition to growing personal self-esteem, a strong work ethic, learning to accept constructive feedback, dedication, determination, and of course poise and grace.  

 

The overall goal of LPGC is to develop champions inside and outside of the gym who embrace sportsmanship, respect, growth, and a positive attitude.

Gymnastics is a very demanding and rewarding sport.  When taught properly and in a positive and encouraging environment, gymnastics teaches more than gymnastics skills.  When our gymnasts are done turning cartwheels and flipping skills, they will have established a base of life skills that will assist them through all of their non-flipping years.

Owner and head coach Angie LaRocco has over 20 years of coaching experience and has been a USA Gymnastics rated judge since 2014. She currently holds her Level 10 and compulsory 4-5 ratings.  She is a member of the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges and also holds a National Gymnastics Association judging rating.  Ms. LaRocco also serves as the head coach for the LaPorte High School & Middle School Girls' Gymnastics Teams. Ms. LaRocco was a competitive gymnast and is a Business & CTE Teacher at LaPorte High School.
